Welcome back to Genome’s month in review, where we take a look at the news, articles, and events throughout the month. And in July, we had exciting news for our potential and loyal clients. So, it’s a perfect time to catch up with the latest updates and insights, if you haven’t already.
Deep dive into the SEPA payments
SEPA transfers are common for European countries, but not all people might be aware of its purpose, the full list of SEPA countries, or even how to make a payment. That’s why this month we wrote an exstensive article on the topic. Check it out, if you have any questions regarding SEPA.
We at Genome provide SEPA services for both personal and business accounts, feel free to contact us if you have questions about it and find the pricing here.
The tutorial trilogy is complete
We have released an article on “how to open a merchant account* with Genome”, which is a detailed tutorial for companies that want to start an account on our platform. An onboarding takes only three simple steps to complete, after which you will be able to accept payments on your website within 72 hours. And right now, low-risk businesses can open a merchant account* for free.
This article became a third and final installment in our series of tutorials for new clients. Thus, if you are interested in opening a personal, business,or merchant account*, please check out the respective tutorial. We will soon announce another tutorial series so stay tuned!
*Please note that Genome’s merchant services have been temporarily unavailable since September 2024.
A long-awaited Genome update
We wanted to make Genome even more convenient and seamless for people from different countries. Hence, in July, our team rolled out localization of Genome’s dashboard for both PC and mobile users.
Right now, you can experience all-in-one banking services in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Norwegian. If you wonder how to switch the language on your computer or phone – we’ve got the instructions in a separate blog post here.
Genome’s forecast for the banking industry is out
Genome’s article on what the second half of 2020 might hold for the banking industry became one of the most significant events this month. In his article for the IBS Intelligence, Genome’s COO Daumantas Barauskas covered how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the overall financial industry and banking sector and what challenges the financial institutions had to face.
The second part of his article was dedicated to the changes expected to occur within the payments industry later this year and in the future. Our COO also gave banks and TPPs advice on how to survive the crisis. We highly recommend you read the full article, as the current situation changes the way many sectors operate, and you better be ready for it.
We also post infographics relevant to this article and other banking statistics on Genome’s Facebook page to keep up with the latest trends in the industry. If you’re also interested in such information, feel free to discuss it in our comment section.
That’s it for this month in review, but make sure you follow Genome’s latest news, as we have exciting updates coming in the future. Meanwhile, our team continues working on the improvement of Genome’s services and always awaits your feedback, which you can leave in an online support chat in the bottom right corner of Genome’s website.
