2025 was a year of real momentum for Genome – we launched new merchant features, set real-time alerts, and strengthened our security foundation. Alongside product growth, we earned industry recognition and hit meaningful market milestones!

Merchant accounts and upgraded services for companies
Genome launched merchant accounts, unlocking valuable services for thousands of businesses. For online companies, it means a clearer setup for collecting funds, managing settlements, and keeping day-to-day finance operations more structured as you grow.
We also expanded how merchants can get paid at checkout. With instant bank payments via Pay by Bank and Open Banking, customers can pay directly from their bank account with strong authentication, giving merchants fast confirmation and a smoother experience. Card payment processing is coming soon, so businesses will be able to offer both rails side by side as they scale.
To make payment collection even easier, we added hosted payment pages and instant payouts. Hosted pages help merchants launch a secure checkout without heavy development work, while instant payouts support faster disbursements to partners, winners, or suppliers. We have even more in store for you when it comes to merchant accounts in 2026!
Instant C2B payment alerts for elevated operations
We completed our fast customer-to-business (C2B) payments with real-time C2B payment notifications. Thanks to the feature, businesses can accept payments directly from customers’ bank accounts, get instant confirmation when funds arrive, and automate transaction tracking. Combined with SEPA Instant, this approach helps reduce delays and manual reconciliation.
It is exactly what our partnership with Sepagon and HUCH brought to life. Sepagon integrates Genome’s secure incoming payment APIs and real-time C2B payment notifications, so its business users can accept bank-based payments with immediate status updates and automated tracking. In parallel, the HUCH partnership focuses on real-time SEPA payment alerts, notifying businesses the moment incoming funds reach their accounts.

Major security upgrade: ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications
Security is always a priority for Genome, and in 2025, we proved it once again!
Genome reached an important security milestone by achieving ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications. ISO 27001 confirms that we run a structured Information Security Management System (ISMS) designed to protect sensitive information with clear processes, controls, and continuous risk management.
ISO 27701 builds on that foundation with a dedicated privacy framework (a Privacy Information Management System, or PIMS), focused on how personal data is collected, processed, stored, and shared securely while respecting privacy rights.
Together, these certifications reinforce our long-term commitment to protecting client data across the platform.
Recognition among peer startups
This year, Genome ranked 59th on the Sifted 100: DACH & CEE Fastest-Growing Startups list. The ranking highlights 100 startups in Germany and Central & Eastern Europe with strong revenue growth over the past three years, so being included is a solid sign of momentum.
For Genome, it’s an important milestone: it shows we’re growing steadily while continuing to build practical financial tools that businesses can rely on.
Consistent growth in the Lithuanian market
Genome reached a major growth milestone in Lithuania: we became the 4th largest electronic money institution (EMI) by turnover, based on the Bank of Lithuania’s 2025 Q2 EMI performance indicators.
It’s a strong signal that more businesses are using Genome at scale for daily payments and transfers, and that our platform is growing steadily in a competitive market.
Not to mention, we featured on the list in 2024 as well: back then, Genome was named the 5th largest EMI in Lithuania by client fund turnover
Two major awards received, confirming our commitment
This year, Genome received two major recognitions for our work in building reliable, tailor-made financial services. We were named the Best Financial Services Platform in Lithuania for 2025 by Global Financial Market Review, highlighting the impact our platform continues to have for both individuals and businesses.
We also received a 2025 award from Corporate Vision Magazine in the Netherlands, recognizing Genome as the Leading Small Business (SME) Financial Services Provider.

SiGMA Europe and participation in multiple significant events
In early November 2025, the Genome team headed to SiGMA Central Europe in Rome to meet iGaming operators, affiliates, and industry partners face-to-face. We combine secure B2C2B and API transfers and merchant services for iGaming. During Sigma, our team had practical conversations about real-world payment flows, scaling across markets, and building more efficient finance operations for iGaming businesses with tailor-made solutions.
Looking back at the year, SiGMA was one of many key events where we stayed close to different industries and their fast-moving needs. Alongside Rome, we joined major events like Money20/20 Europe, i-Con Island Conference, Baltic Fintech Days, ICE Barcelona 2025, the Payment Market Conference Riga, iGB L!VE 2025, and the SBC Summit Malta, so we could keep learning, sharing expertise, and building partnerships around smarter, more scalable payments for various businesses.
