We are happy to introduce PIN codes for virtual cards, available for personal and business wallet users starting from May 21st! This means that Genome clients can set a virtual card PIN and use their virtual cards for ATM withdrawals via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Garmin Pay.
So, if you need cash but don’t have your physical card with you, no worries! You can use your tokenized virtual card to withdraw money at a contactless ATM that supports this option.

How virtual card ATM withdrawals work
The new feature makes your virtual card even more flexible. You can keep using it for online payments and contactless purchases, but it can also help you access cash when needed.
Here’s how it works:
1. Add your virtual card to a digital wallet. First, tokenize your business or personal virtual card by adding it to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Garmin Pay. Just go to the Cards menu inside your Genome account and link a virtual card you want to use to the mobile wallet of your choosing. This is how you can use your phone or smartwatch for contactless payments and supported ATM transactions. If you don’t have a virtual card yet, you can order one online in just a few simple steps!
2. Set your virtual card PIN. While you’re on the same Cards menu inside your app or dashboard, you can set a PIN for your card. The virtual card PIN is necessary to confirm ATM withdrawals, just like with a physical card. Securely and easily!
3. Withdraw cash at a contactless ATM. Once your virtual card is added to a digital wallet and the PIN is set, you can use it at a contactless ATM that supports withdrawals via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Garmin Pay.
