Introducing a payment request – a new service available for all our clients. And, what’s more, even people who don’t use Genome! Using it, you can request payments in seconds using a simple link or QR code!
How the payment request feature works
Instead of manually sharing IBAN or account details, you can create a payment request and instantly send it as a QR code, an image, or a payment link. The recipient simply opens the request and completes the payment using Genome or their bank/financial provider. Now, the payment process is faster and more convenient for both sides. The money recipient can request a specific amount, and it will be completed in seconds!
Our feature works well both for topping up an account and for receiving payments from other people. Not only that, but it also allows you to avoid mistakes in payment details and removes unnecessary back-and-forth. It is a simple, practical way to make incoming payments smoother, quicker, and more user-friendly.

How to use the payment request feature:
Open your Genome dashboard. You can create a payment request from the Account details screen or by going to Top up → Transfer request.
A payment link and/or QR code are created dynamically.
You can add extra details, such as the amount to send and a note.
You can share the request however is most convenient for you: by message, email, or QR scan.
If the recipient has a Genome account, they receive the request and complete it.
If the recipient doesn’t have the Genome account – no worries! They can use IBAN details for a bank transfer.
Our new feature fits perfectly for both day-to-day payments and business operations!
Request money more easily. You can share a payment link with a set amount, so the other person can send funds right away without you manually sending your IBAN details.
Top up your account in a simpler way. You can use a payment link or QR code to add money to your Genome account, either by asking another person to transfer funds or by making the transfer from your other bank account.
Get paid on the spot. You can show a QR code in person, and the payer can scan it and complete the transfer straight away.
Make payment collection easier. You can send payment requests to customers instead of manually sharing account details every time. It eliminates unnecessary steps and improves conversions!
